Sacramental Preparation with Children:
First Reconciliation, First Communion, Confirmation

(Faith Formation)
In the Toledo Diocese, children celebrate the sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Communion when they reach the “age of reason,” typically in 2nd grade.  The sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated when children are in “the 8th grade through sixteen years of age.” These sacraments are an extension of our baptism as part of the Sacraments of Initiation and are celebrated with all parish children.  Faith formation for these Sacraments is a two-year program in our parish.  Formation is provided for children and their families.  Confirmation sponsors also participate in formation activities.
