This ministry provides the assembly with vocal and instrumental support in its full, active, conscious participation in the Liturgy. Voices of all ranges are always welcome.

Cantors
Cantors: Those called to this ministry must have vocal/musical skills including good breath support, rhythmic precision, a pleasing tone and an inviting personality. A vocal interview/audition is necessary to determine a person’s ability and gifts. This ministry is open to high school age students and older. Choristers This choir of youth in grades 3-6 sings once a month at a weekend Mass, periodic special events and during the 9 am Mass on Wednesdays during the school year. Open to NCS, home-schooled, and public school students. Practices are after school on Thursdays until 4:15 pm. Folk Ensemble The Folk Ensemble provides musical leadership at the Saturday, 4:30 pm Mass. The group includes vocalists and instrumentalists. The music sung is a mix of traditional and contemporary. This ministry is open to high school students and older. |
Funeral Choir
This choir is extremely important in the celebration of the funeral Mass. Most funeral Masses are scheduled at 10:30 am, Monday through Saturday. There are no regular scheduled practices, but there may be a warm-up rehearsal immediately preceding the funeral Mass if needed. Hispanic Choir This musical group leads the parishioners in vibrant song at our Sunday Mass in Spanish.. Contact: José Carrillo, 419-677-4494 Mixed Choir: This choir sings at the Sunday, 9 am Mass and at special liturgies throughout the year, including Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and our Mass of Remembrance. This ministry is open to high school age students and older. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. Praise and Worship Band This group provides contemporary music for the Sunday, 5:00 pm Mass.
