Respect Life Ministry
St. John Neumann Deanery Respect Life Ministry Team
The St. John Neumann Deanery Respect Life Ministry is concerned with the entire spectrum of life; from conception through natural death. We are committed to following the path the Holy Spirit guides us on.
Ministry Goals/Focus:
● The need to engage in heartfelt and humble prayer for guidance and to understand that God is the source of all abundance.Team members are expected to concretely commit to offering a part of their routine prayer life for the Holy Spirit’s guidance and the success of this ministry. This could be spent at Mass, in Adoration, offering a Rosary, or other prayer on a routine basis.
● To raise awareness at the parish level so that families feel supported in their faith lives. Parishioners should be excited to see young families with children at Mass and to encourage and support their participation in parish life. Families may need to be accompanied on their journey. Respect Life is the responsibility of every parishioner and should be promoted at every level. Witness talks may be a means to expressing gratitude for our children and families.
● To educate parishioners on the political issues as one means to fight our current cultural trends. Promote disbursement of USCCB materials on Faithful Citizenship especially in this year of a presidential election. Educate parishioners on negotiable and non-negotiable political stances. [See our Faithful Citizenship page.]
● To promote conversion of heart, to help parishioners grow in their call of discipleship, and to help parishioners understand that there is something better for them than what our secular world promotes. Personal witness is a powerful tool toward this end.
We welcome new members, if interested please contact Bev Reichert by email at bevreichert@gmail.com or by phone at 419-706-0464.
